The FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Poland 2026 takes place from 5-27 September

Group A at the brings together two tournament newcomers and a pair of established contenders.
As hosts, Poland will make their tournament debut with high ambitions, just two years after their first appearance at a FIFA women's youth tournament at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Dominican Republic 2024™. Benin will also be making their debut, and in even more historic fashion, as the Young Amazons become the first women's national team from the country ever to compete in a FIFA tournament.
Argentina, meanwhile, continue to make strides on the international stage and will be appearing for the fifth time – and for the second consecutive edition. Finally, Mexico are among the competition's most experienced teams. Poland 2026 will mark their 11th appearance, including a 10th in a row. Only Brazil, Nigeria and the USA have featured more often.
As tournament hosts, Poland qualified automatically.

South America was allocated four places at the global finals. Argentina secured one of them by finishing third at the 2026 CONMEBOL Sub-20 Femenina, behind Brazil and Ecuador.

Mexico booked their place by reaching the final of the 2025 Concacaf Women's U-20 Championship, where they were beaten 3-2 after extra time by Canada.
Benin were one of the four African qualifiers for the global finals. The Young Amazons defeated Guinea 9-4 on aggregate in the first round before overcoming Egypt 5-0 on aggregate in the second. In the final qualifying round, they sealed qualification with a 5-2 aggregate victory over Côte d'Ivoire.
