By Jonty Colman BBC Sport journalist Published 7 minutes ago For the duration of the 2026 Fifa World Cup, the BBC has launched a 3D Experience.
It allows fans an alternative look at a match, with the options available including being through the eyes of any player on the pitch to visualise exactly just what it is like to be playing on the greatest stage of them all.
The technology is a first for the UK and is only available via BBC Sport.
With the 3D Experience, you are able to follow matches in a variety of unique ways. These include tactical match view, a first-person player's point-of-view, your own control of the broadcast cameras and a third-person view of specific players.
For the matches being covered, you can follow in real-time and rewind back to key moments in the match, depending on your preference.
The technology offers a unique perspective on statistics as well as player movements and how incidents and key moments look from a broader ranger of angles than ever before.
You can follow matches that are covered via the 3D Experience at https://bbc.co.uk/3dWorldCup . From there, you can access live matches and go back to experience matches that have already happened.

This Beta 3D Experience is all powered by live official Fifa data and technology from XR company Immersiv.io , external .
The skeletal data is used to recreate the match as it happens - similar to how semi-automated offside technology works.
It merges what people are used to in the form of action replays in real life, how graphics look in video games and a 3D reconstruction of the match to create the alternative view.
The Fifa World Cup 3D Experience is only available to users in the UK.
