Argentina and France among quartet eyeing knockout stage

Argentina meet Austria as the top two in Group J face off in Dallas

Two-time champions France take on Iraq in Group I

Jordan, Algeria, Iraq and Senegal aim to open their accounts

Groups I and J are back in action on Monday, 22 July, with a quartet of teams aiming to secure early qualification for the Round of 32 at . Reigning champions Argentina square off against Austria to see who could potentially claim top spot in their group, while Jordan clash with Algeria with both sides looking to bounce back from defeats.

Kylian Mbappe's France will lock horns with Iraq, while high-flying Norway take on African powerhouses Senegal. Both European sides have the prize of qualification in sight, while Iraq and Senegal will be looking to secure their first points and extend their stays at the global showpiece.

In Group I, Norway will clinch a place in the Round of 32 if they defeat Senegal. As for Les Bleus, they will secure progress if they beat Iraq.

After , Argentina will qualify as Group J winners and go on to meet the Group H runners-up in Miami on 3 July if they defeat Austria, and Jordan do not beat Algeria. Ralf Rangnick's men have the same carrot in front of them. Austria will top the group if they overcome the Albiceleste and Algeria do not beat Jordan.

Meanwhile, Algeria will be eliminated if they lose to Jordan and Austria avoid defeat against Argentina; Jordan will suffer the same fate if they lose in San Francisco and Argentina avoid defeat by Austria.
