USA have learned their Round of 32 opponents at the FIFA World Cup 2026™, with Bosnia and Herzegovina set to face the co-hosts at the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium on Wednesday 1 July.
That tie was confirmed by results in Group F, where Sweden's 1-1 draw against Japan dictated that Sergej Barbarez's side would be the third-place team to face Mauricio Pochettino's in-form Stars and Stripes.
Bosnia and Herzegovina qualified for the knockout stage for the first time on 24 June with a 3-1 win over Qatar, having earlier drawn their opening match against Canada and lost 4-1 to Group B winners Switzerland.
The US qualified as section winners with a game to spare after back-to-back victories over Paraguay and Australia, and will face Türkiye’s in Los Angeles to bring down the curtain on their Group D campaign.
