Ricardo Rodriguez and Granit Xhaka are set to take part in their fourth World Cup, after the pair played at Brazil 2014, Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022. The duo enter these finals deadlocked on a national-record 12 finals appearances, alongside fellow national icon Xherdan Shaqiri.
The last event they didn't appear at was South Africa 2010, but just over six months before that tournament, they were penning a national fairy tale on the continent's west coast. Switzerland, at their first U-17 World Cup, stunned the competition with seven straight wins in Nigeria to collect the country's first global crown.
