Goal of the Tournament: Vote for your favourite from the group stage

The goals have flowed during the group stage of the – and now comes your turn to choose your favourite so far.

With the net having bulged a record 215 times in the 72 matches to date, there is no shortage of brilliant strikes for FIFA.com users to choose from, though to make the task easier we have whittled the selection down to 12. The shortlist includes superb goals from some of the usual suspects – step forward Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe – alongside contributions from players new to the world stage like Cabo Verde’s Kevin Pina and Wilson Isidor of Haiti.

This is the first step in the process towards deciding the , as the first voting window of the tournament gives users 48 hours to place their vote. After the window voting closes, the winning goal will be announced.

There will be four subsequent votes, following the same process after the Round of 32, Round of 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals (combined), and then a final vote at the end of the tournament.

Connected with Chris Wood and then Sarpreet Singh before collecting the ball from Wood in the box, flicking it up and lashing it high into the net en route to becoming the first All White to score twice in a World Cup match.

v Senegal (3-1), Group I, 16 June

France's greatest marksman unleashed a shot from 32 yards which flew past Edouard Mendy for his record-breaking 58th goal for his nation.

v Algeria (1-0), Group J, 16 June

Collecting the ball on the turn he advanced to the D and then let fly, beating Luca Zidane with the trademark speed and whip on his shot.

v Uruguay (1-0), Group H, 21 June

Delivered Cabo Verde’s first World Cup finals goal from a distance beyond 30 yards – firing hard and low through a gap in Uruguay’s defensive wall and past Fernando Muslera.

v Qatar (1-0), Group B, 24 June

The 18-year-old showed tremendous footwork to evade two defenders before crashing in an unstoppable effort from the edge of the area.

v Morocco (2-1), Group C, 24 June

Haiti attacker arrowed a shot of stunning speed and power on a diagonal path into the top corner of Yassine Bounou’s goal.

v Sweden (1-0), Group F, 25 June

A wonderful team effort as Ritsu Doan played a give-and-go with Ayase Ueda then supplied an angled through-ball to meet Maeda’s run in behind – a move capped by a composed finish.

v Congo DR (1-0), Group K, 28 June

The highlight of the White Wolves' debut World Cup came in their final match with this inch-perfect lob from their inspirational captain.
