The United States got some good news on Sunday.
Some would call it great.
Star forward Folarin Balogun received a red card in the second half of the USA's 2-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Round of 32, meaning he would be disqualified for the Round of 16.
However, FIFA announced on Sunday that it had overruled Balogun's red card and lifted his suspension.
He is now eligible to take the field against Belgium on Monday, and in light of that news, the Americans are now favored to make it to the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
With that showdown now set, here are the updated odds for how the USA will fare in this year's tournament at FanDuel Sportsbook as of July 5.

It was just the nation’s second-ever knockout stage win at a men’s World Cup, with the only previous victory coming against Mexico in the Round of 16 in 2002, a tournament in which the Americans reached the quarterfinals.
It also marked the first time in U.S.
history that the team has won three matches at a single World Cup.
So, how do these results stack up against previous results?
Well, at the 2022 World Cup, the USA made it to the Round of 16, which was viewed as a stellar accomplishment prior to the tournament's expansion.
In 2018, the USA did not qualify for the World Cup, and in 2014 and 2010, the U.S.
also made it to the Round of 16.
Their best result this century occurred in 2002, when the Americans made it all the way to the quarterfinals before being eliminated.
